ブセファランドラは2006年頃に流通するようになったサトイモ科の新種。
ほとんどのものが品種不明を示すSP.付きで流通する。名前につくムラウィ（Melawi）は「ボルネオ島のムラウィ地方に自生するブセファランドラ」という意味で、同じ名前でも特徴の異なるものが流通している。
葉の長細いもの、丸いもの、高さ出るものでないもの、縁の波打つもの丸いもの、色も鮮やかなライトグリーンから暗めのオリーブまでさまざまな草形のものが流通する。
水中で白い花を咲かせることが知られている。
